From the grounds outdoors to the rug on the floor, the Friends have influenced every room in the Bushnell-Sage.

The Friends of the Library have played a vital and enduring role in shaping every aspect of the Library’s environment and services. From the Library’s earliest days, the Friends provided essential furnishings, ranging from shelving to carpeting, and have continued to support its growth with key enhancements such as the first computers, program room technology, and a fully equipped kitchen. Their generosity made possible the children’s art room, complete with specialized furniture and storage, as well as Pam’s Playground, an accessible outdoor space for young visitors. The Friends also created and maintain the gardens surrounding the building and patio, offering inviting outdoor areas including a gazebo and an Art Wall for rotating displays. Through their sustained contributions, the Friends have helped the Library continually evolve into the welcoming, dynamic community resource it is today.
